Affiliated Tribes of New England Indians

The mission statement of the affiliated tribes is to teach promote culture of the Eastern Tribes. Five tribes currently belong to the affiliation. They include the Pokanoket Tribe, Pocasset Wampanoag, Seaconke Wamponoag, Chappiquidick Wamponoag and Historic Mashapaug Nahaganset Tribe. We live by our treatys and continue to bring back traditional values.

Art on Spring

Opened in May 2015, Art on Spring features the artistic work of Mark and Laura Fernandez. Art on Spring is unique as both a working studio and a gallery. Laura creates and designs all of the stained glass, jewelry, and mosaic pieces that are displayed. Mark displays his plein air and studio oil paintings in the gallery as well.

Artists' Exchange

Artists’ Exchange is a nonprofit arts collaborative whose mission is to create an atmosphere in which creativity, learning and discovery converge and individuality is celebrated. Artists’ Exchange houses The Black Box Theatre and multiple art studios, as well as a gallery, art boutique and cafe. Join us for enriching classes and weekly events in art, theater and music.

Arts Alive!

Barrington Arts Alive is a 501(c)3 charitable organization providing an opportunity for children and teens to experience the performing arts through their schools and local community. In working directly with parent-teacher organizations and community partners, Arts Alive creates a theatre arts experience through school productions, community theatre activities and workshops.

Arts Guild of Woonsocket

In August of 2012 a group of artists gathered together to form an organization that would contribute to the revitalization of the arts community in Woonsocket. As a result the Arts Guild of Woonsocket was created in the hopes of providing all artists and artisans, in all mediums, an opportunity to display, perform, produce and share their creative talents with each other and the surrounding communities. It is the mission of the Arts Guild of Woonsocket to create a fraternity among the artists living and working in northern Rhode Island, in turn stimulating and fostering the arts in all forms and mediums. By presenting a unified vision of the performing and visual arts, the Guild will create public awareness of the variety of arts and entertainments available in the area, helping to reestablish a vibrant artistic community.

On our web magazine, we host reviews, preview videos and interviews, discussions, and a calendar of in-person meet-ups to key arts events around the state. Bert Gallery

Bert Gallery is a Providence-based gallery founded in 1985 to showcase and preserve the rich art tradition of Rhode Island and the region. The gallery concentrates on the rediscovery of historically significant artists reflecting major styles and movements in American Art. Bert Gallery offers rotating exhibits and an extensive inventory of paintings, drawings and prints from the late 19th century to present, with a strong emphasis from 1880 – 1950.

Candita Clayton Gallery

Candita Clayton Gallery has become an influential presence on the Rhode Island art scene. Located at Hope Artiste Village, the Gallery is dedicated to showcasing fine local art and design, and creating a synergistic relationship between artists and art lovers. Gallerist Candita Clayton is dedicated to discovering and promoting both emerging and mid-to-late-career artists from Rhode Island, and believes that art should – and can – be accessible to everyone. In addition to creating public gallery shows for all to enjoy, she also works with local and national designers to create interior spaces which feature fine art as a prominent design element.

Courthouse Center for the Arts

Courthouse Center for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) arts organization that ensures the integral presence of the arts in our lives, by providing facilities, programming, and leadership. The Center offers accessible, affordable arts and educational programs for adults and children. We are also committed to the preservation of the historic Washington County Courthouse, which is the home for the Center for the Arts. Our goal is to continue to offer extensive opportunities to individuals and families to become involved in the many facets of the arts.

Craftland

Craftland started as an annual retail craft show in a unique consignment store format in downcity Providence, RI. The show has featured eclectic arts and crafts from artists near and far (Australia!). Participants are selected through a jurying process. Downcity Gala Night

We will strive to provide gallery space to our featured Providence artists; always completely commission free. Each event will feature two complementary artists; One to please the eyes, and another to stimulate the ears; Sculpture, Paintings, Poetry, Music, Typography, or whatever this dynamic community can produce, all are welcome. In the warmer months, we will also share this art with the community at large by bringing this celebration of local art and culture into Tarragon Bar’s Courtyard outside the venue in Freeman Memorial Park, allowing us to expand our display to echo on the walls of the city herself.

Everett is a cross-disciplinary, cross-generational, and cross-cultural ensemble of dance and theater artists creating, performing, teaching and engaging a diverse community through the arts. Guiding Everett’s mission is a deep belief in collaboration, experimentation and the artist’s role in creating a just, equitable and joyous future. Our Company, Stage and School work in concert to build and support this vision. We offer a laboratory and classroom where new ideas, new forms and new artists flourish aesthetically and practically, and are continually tested through performance and forums. We strive to create a cohesive urban community through theater education and performance that transforms the lives of children, families, and theater artists. We believe the world needs artists, and artists should be fairly compensated for their essential work. Our Company, Stage and School are based in a former carriage house at 9 Duncan Ave. in Providence, Rhode Island. The Carriage House is an open, generative space for people of every financial status, a place where a one-room schoolhouse becomes a university, and a neighborhood becomes the world.
