In August of 2012 a group of artists gathered together to form an organization that would contribute to the revitalization of the arts community in Woonsocket. As a result the Arts Guild of Woonsocket was created in the hopes of providing all artists and artisans, in all mediums, an opportunity to display, perform, produce and share their creative talents with each other and the surrounding communities.

As a result the Arts Guild of Woonsocket was created in the hopes of providing all artists and artisans, in all mediums, an opportunity to display, perform, produce and share their creative talents with each other and the surrounding communities.
It is the mission of the Arts Guild of Woonsocket to create a fraternity among the artists living and working in northern Rhode Island, in turn stimulating and fostering the arts in all forms and mediums. By presenting a unified vision of the performing and visual arts, the Guild will create public awareness of the variety of arts and entertainments available in the area, helping to reestablish a vibrant artistic community.
