Collegium Ancora, a professional 16-voice choir and ensemble-in-residence at Grace Church in Providence, make their debut public performance with a range of choral works written by Byrd, Handel, Macmillan, Britten, Thompson, and Copland.

Dedicated to enriching the Ocean State through the arts, Collegium Ancora perform music from ancient times & modern, sacred & secular, in celebration of the human voice. Drawn from Rhode Island’s state motto, “Hope” (Latin: Ancora), their name reflects the conviction that music not only steadies us in a turbulent world, but also beckons us to transcend what is and dream of what could be.
