A grand tour of Grand Opera, including Puccini, Verdi and a few other friends.
Coloratura soprano, Jennifer Zamorano, tenor, George Lyons, and pianist, Nathan Johnson will be performing a selection of 19th century opera as part of the “Music at Grace” concert series on October 13th, 2019 at 4 PM.
“Verdi, Meyerbeer and Friends” will be a brief tour of the rapidly changing art form of opera from the mid 19th century to the Great Depression. Less a history lesson than a celebration of great music, the concert will feature well known pieces as well as explore a few forgotten gems in the cannon.
Including selections from Verdi’s “La Traviata” , Ferdinand Hérold’s opera-comique “Zampa,”, and “Un bel di vedremo” from “Madama Butterfly” by Puccini.
Event is ‘Pay what you can” , with a suggested donation of $10
