All Saint’s Memorial Church will be hosting the 8th annual benefit concert by the University of Liberia Alumni Chorus.  The program will include classical, gospel, and traditional African music.  Proceeds will support the University of Liberia by providing scholarships for students, teaching award for faculty, and establishing a fine arts center.

The chorus is composed of former members of the University of Liberia Chorus. Presently the roster of the Alumni Chorus comprises only alumni who sang under the direction of Mrs. Agnes Nebo von Ballmoos during the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.  During the late 1980’s the civil unrest in Liberia caused a major disruption in the operations of the University of Liberia.  The subsequent 15-year civil war completely devastated the university and the country, which are slowly rebuilding.
