The Spring Book Sale at Weaver Library kicks off on April 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Members Only Preview Book Sale for Friends of the East Providence Public Library. Individuals who are not Friends can join for a $5 per person annual membership fee, payable at the door. All paid members are welcome to purchase books at this advance sale. Thousands of books will be available for sale for $1 or less. This is the best time to come for the best choice of books. The Spring Book Sale continues April 21-23 with free admission. Hard and soft cover books are $1, children’s 50¢ pocket-sized paperbacks are 50¢ or 3 for $1, CDs, DVDs and audio books are $1 and VHS tapes are 50¢. Books are sorted in more than 50 categories and are easily accessible on display cases; novels are in order by author’s last name.  On sale are novels and books on health, sports, cooking, gardening, business, history, art, science, religion and more, as well as comics and puzzles. Proceeds benefit East Providence Public Library.
