    Design the Night

Design your own summer night at the Museum with artists hailing from near and far, trendsetting libations, and indie soundscapes. Thumb through artist’s creations at the Sketchbook Project’s Mobile Library in the Chace Plaza while rocking out to Providence-based (and internationally-acclaimed) indie band Arc Iris’ blend of organic acoustic instruments and layered electronic sounds. Grab a pencil and draw with Julia Rothman, watch Janice Lee Kelly’s aerial installation grow up the Museum’s Benefit Street façade, and experience pop-up shops, performances, and conversations with artists featured in the exhibition "From the Loom of a Goddess: Reverberations of Guatemalan Mayan Weaving." Free; all are welcome!
