The John Hay Library underwent extensive renovations to the first floor in 2014, providing enhanced research and study space in the restored main Reading Room, a separate fully-updated Special Collections Reading Room, an expanded Exhibition Gallery, a new Consultation Room, and a convenient Student Lounge.
Continuing to provide access to the Library’s remarkable collections of rare books and manuscripts, the University Archives, and many special collections on a wide variety of topics, John Hay Library staff also offer individual consultation and class sessions on integrating the collection into teaching, learning, and research. The Library also houses three seminar rooms and hosts exhibitions and scholarly events throughout the year.
