Historic, coastal towns, Bristol and Warren, RI, have joined forces to offer seven “ART Nights” from 5 to 9 p.m. on the last Thursday of every month from April through October, with a special “art buying” event on November 30th. Think gallery stroll with a twist as “ART Night” provides access to the inner workings of artists’ studios. Each monthly event features local artists who open their studio doors for an up-close and personal look at where their work is created. A free trolley service runs between galleries and studios in the two towns, and local shops and restaurants are offering special incentives. These East Bay towns have a long history of attracting creative people, and “ART Night” organizers always put together an exciting lineup.

How to do Art Night

  • Take the free trolley: ART Night trolleys operate from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., making numerous stops at galleries and featured artists’ studios in Bristol and Warren. Park and ride from any ART Night venue or the Bristol Plaza (corner of Gooding Ave. and Hope St.)
  • Park and walk: You’ll find that galleries in each town are an easy stroll, and what better way to soak up the ambience of Bristol and Warren villages than parking and walking between the venues. Both towns have ample street parking with no parking time limits after 5 p.m.
  • Bike: Take your bike on the East Bay Bike Path that connects Bristol and Warren with a 3.5-mile restricted-access ride along Narragansett Bay and through wetlands and forests.
