Born to a painter and a physician, my mother was my first painting teacher. There were many stops and starts in my journey to paint as I struggled with the practicality of pursuing such a life, but the pull of passion was strong and at 36 years old, completed my BFA in painting. After 13 years in Seattle, I’ve returned to New England and in April 2012, relocated in Providence RI. I had the privilege of enjoying a studio space for 4 years in the historic and beloved 619 Western Arts building (www.619western.com) before the artists were evicted in September 2011 due to the pending viaduct demolition and structural building issues.
