Design located in the picturesque Nayatt Road section of town. Located on land donated by the Tillinghast family, the site is also known as the Tillinghast Estate and by some locals as RISD Beach. Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), a world renowned school of art, architecture and design uses the site for continuing education for adults and youth. A variety of classes in various forms of the arts are offered. RISD has also made the land available for use by the Barrington Recreation Department, as a benefit to alumni, staff, and faculty as well as for weddings.
