The Alliance Française de Providence (pronounced “al-lee-ahce frahn-says de Prov-ee-dahse”) is a 501c 3 not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of Rhode Island. It is a chapter of many Alliance Française organizations throughout the world, operating independently since its establishment in 1901, and was recognized in 2014 by the Best of Providence Award for Language Schools. Its mission is to promote and enhance the appreciation of French and Francophone culture and to encourage interaction and friendship among French, Francophones and Francophiles of all racial, national and ethnic origins through cultural and social programs in education and the arts.
