Phyllis holds a Masters Degree in Music from George Mason University. Since relocating to New England, she has been on stage at Theatre by the Sea, Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston, and The Wilbury Theatre Group.

Phyllis has performed internationally with the Rome Festival Opera and with the Washington Opera Company at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.  While in New York, she was fortunate to work Off-Broadway with the York Theatre Company.

Phyllis has been a music teacher in a variety of public schools across the country and served as an adjudicator for the VTA Middle School One-Act play Competition, VCDA District IX Choral Festival, and the Stafford County Choral Society Scholarship competition. In 2008, she served as musical director for the Beechwood Theatre Company in Newport, Rhode Island.

Phyllis is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association, SAG-AFTRA, the National Association of Teachers of Singers (NATS), and is Level 1 Certified in Somatic VoiceWork ™ The LoVetri Method.
