Strange Attractor Theatre Co.creates simultaneously inviting and unexpected original work that challenge the popular conception of live performance while engaging new audiences with original, high-caliber, physically devised theatre. With a brave performance style, diverse themes, and hilarious characters, Strange Attractor seeks to unnerve while entertaining and confound while delighting.

Since forming in 2009 Strange Attractor has created two full-length shows, 2010’s “F.orward O.perating B.ase” in Juneau, AK for Perseverance Theatre’s Second Stage, 2010’s “Special Happy,” in Providence, RI for Perishable Theatre’s Women’s Playwriting Festival. Strange Attractor presented a work-in-progress showing of The Brand Project, a play in development based on Henrik Ibsen’s Brand, in April 2011 at Perishable Theatre. In July they will continue develop the piece in Juneau, Alaska at Perseverance Theatre. Individual performances have been called “a dark fever dream”, “performance theatre at its most innovative and participatory level”, and “expect to laugh. A lot.”
