Ann and Michael Martini started Newport Gourmet Tours with a singluar mission: to celebrate the history and talent of the Newport culinary scene.

Tour Guide Michael Martini is a professional chef, who earned his degree in culinary arts at the Rhode Island School of Design. He has worked in some of Rhode Island’s most well-know restaurants, including the Shelter Harbor Inn, The Boat House and 3 Steeple Street.

Tour Coordinator Ann Martini was an editor at Rhode Island Monthly magazine for 10 years. Five years ago she left that job to start a business working exclusively with chefs, restaurants, and food events such as the New York Chocolate Show and The Newport Mansions WIne & Food Festival. She is an adjunct professor of English at the culinary school at Johnson & Wales University.

Together, Ann and Michael hope to bring you the best of what Newport has to offer, one bite at a time!
