Teaching Students with Visual Impairment and Blindness: Tips, Tricks and Techniques for the College Classroom

Accessibility of course materials to all learners, including individuals with disabilities, is a diversity and inclusion topic of national significance. This interactive workshop will provide examples of best practices for teaching students with visual impairment and blindness. Attendees will receive a user-friendly overview and practical tips about accessible course materials, teaching and learning techniques.  Presenters: Associate Professor of Biology Breea Govenar; Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science and Educational Studies Caroline Caswell; Adjunct Professor of Art Carole Villucci; and RIC Elementary Education major Maryabby Jusayan.
