The Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare’s turbulent battle between the roles we play and the people we are underneath, follows the unlikely courtship of cantankerous Katherine and swaggering Petruchio. Suitors and disguises emerge as love, power and sharp tongues collide in this challenging yet beloved comedy.

This production is part of the Brown/Trinity Rep M.F.A. Programs which combine in-depth classroom work and an ongoing relationship to a working professional theatre. Brown University’s Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies is internationally recognized for the quality of its faculty and instruction.
