Pauls Toutonghi is a first-generation American. He has been awarded a Pushcart prize and written for The New Yorker, The New York Times, Virginia Quarterly Review, Granta, Tin House, and numerous other periodicals. He lives in Oregon, where he teaches at Lewis & Clark College. The illustrator, Margaret Owen, is an artist living in Providence and holds a MFA degree from the New York Academy of Art. Margaret and her fellow NYAA alum Elizabeth Hutchinson have a daily sketching blog, together they lead watercolor travel painting workshops.
