This class will focus on the practice and techniques involved in executing successful “cold readings” in auditions and studio environments. Every week of this six week class, students will receive a new piece of text with which they will make quick choices and incorporate weekly tricks and tactics to help perform with fullness and specificity. Students will be encouraged to listen and respond acting “truthfully under imaginary circumstances”. There will be no final performance for this class but there will be weekly performances within class itself. This is a process based class and each student will leave with strategies for success in this very common form of auditioning.
