Free Gallery Talk: The Healing Power of Art

Free Gallery Talk: The Healing Power of Art

Presented by South County Art Association at South County Art Association

Art is a whole-being experience and all beings are innately creative. One can see this demonstrated across cultures and throughout time. There are tremendous benefits to allowing ourselves to experience art; whether as a witness to or maker of. It is the arts that allow us to explore, express, release and connect in healthy ways.

In this talk, we will explore the use of intention in creating healing art and the specific role images play in healing the mind-body. We will further discuss the layers of the brain and how art can uniquely tap into each of these layers, guiding us to move towards wholeness and coherence.
