Join the Providence Art Club for our festive President’s Block Party on August 28 from 12-4pm. We will open our Fall Members’ Exhibition, unveil our newest presidential portrait, and celebrate with Thomas Street Tacos, cocktail specials, and a wine tasting from Anchor and Hope. Many of the Club’s artist studios will also be open and guided tours of the Club’s historic buildings will be offered. All are welcome and this event is free and open to the public.
The Fall Members’ Exhibition will be on view throughout all three of the Club’s galleries and will feature about 120 works in all media by exhibiting artist members of the Club. At 2pm, $6,000 in award-winners will be announced. Awards will be selected by esteemed awards judge, painter and arts administrator Lee Ann Scotto Adams.
The Providence Art Club is located at 11 Thomas Street in the heart of College Hill, adjacent to Brown, RISD, and the First Baptist Church. Street parking is available nearby on Benefit Street and North Main Street. The Club is also a 5 minute walk from the Providence Amtrak Station and Kennedy Plaza Bus Terminal.
