Island Moving Company presents the Newport Dance Festival on its festival stage on the lawn of the Great Friends Meeting House, 21 Farewell St. in Newport, RI.
Each evening the performance will feature a unique lineup of dances drawn on the talent, artistry, and unique styles of the festival’s five visiting dance companies, and Newport’s resident Island Moving Company.
Headlining this year’s festival is Khambatta Dance Company based out of Seattle Washington. Additional dance companies include Boston Dance Theatre, MA, Italy’s Breathing Art Company, East Coast Contemporary Ballet, CT, Janusphere Dance, NYC, and Tristian Griffin Dance Company, MO. Island Moving Company Dancers will appear each evening festival performances.
Patrons are encouraged to arrive early. Guests are invited to bring their own picnic, blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy world class dance in an outdoor, social setting.

There are no rain dates.
Cancellation due to weather will be made each night at 5:30pm. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged for any other day. No refunds.
In the case of a cancelation on Sunday, July 25 refunds are available for all previously purchased and unused tickets.
