I, Pastor Erny Francisco, am writing to you on behalf of Restoration Worship Ministries; an  organization that is working toward the betterment of our community in the City of Providence. Our communities continue to navigate through the challenges of a post-pandemic world.   Families who are already finding it difficult to afford basic necessities are likely to face further financial hardship, as  they try to adapt to the expenses associated with schooling and equipping their children with the  tools they need to succeed.

It is for this reason that we are hosting our sixth SUMMERFEST Back to  school event on Saturday August 13, 2022. Summerfest is a yearly event hosted by Restoration  Worship which aims to address hardships often faced by families living in some of the most  underserved communities in our city. In past events, we have fed over 500 people in the community  and given away over three hundred backpacks filled with school supplies. In the summer of 2021, in  the midst of transitioning to virtual learning due to the pandemic, we were able to give more than  Chromebooks to make it slightly easier for families to make this transition. This would not be  possible without the help of our community partners. This year, we expect to give 25 Chromebooks  and over 300 backpacks with school supplies at a highly anticipated family event filled with great  music, food, face painting, bouncy houses and much more.
