Providence Singers Present Bach's Magnificat

Presented by Providence Singers at Grace Episcopal Church

Join the Providence Singers as they celebrate their 50th anniversary with a performance of JS Bach’s Magnificat and Henrich Schütz’s Musikalische Exequien, written for double chorus and soloists.  The Singers will be joined by the Providence Baroque Orchestra playing period-authentic instruments. The concert also features the world premiere of  We Two Alone, a setting of Sara Teasdale’s poem “A November Night” by Julian Wachner, written for choir, Baroque instruments, and marimba.  Christine Noel, conducting.

Covid policy update: Masks required for all audience members, choir members, musicians, and volunteers. Vocal soloists will be unmasked while singing. Audience members who are concerned about proximity to unmasked soloists should choose their seats accordingly.
