Presentación de la obra “1985”. Texto y dramaturgia escénicas creados por Beatriz Camargo Estrada basándose en dos acontecimientos ocurridos en Colombia ese mismo año:

El deslizamiento del Nevado del Ruiz que sepultó la ciudad de Armero y que fue escenario de la lucha por sobrevivir de la niña Omaira, atrapada de la cintura para abajo en el lodo. Tras ocho días de rescate fue imposible salvarla.
La toma del Palacio de Justicia por el M19 y la reacción del ejército que provocó el incendio del mismo y la muerte de magistrados e innumerables personas que se hallaban en el edificio.

Presentation of the work “1985”. Text and choreography by Beatriz Camargo Estrada based on two events that occurred in Colombia that same year:

The slide of Nevado del Ruiz that buried the city of Armero and that witnessed the fight for survival of young Omaira, trapped from waist below in the mud. After eight days of rescue attempts, the mission failed.
The take of the Palace of Justice by the M19 and the army response that caused the fire of the building and the death of many officials and visitors who were in the building.
