“Magical… the sheer breadth of the imagery is unlike anything you’ve seen before.” – Los Angeles Times
Acclaimed multimedia artist Miwa Matreyek pushes boundaries in her latest work, Infinitely Yours, a visually stunning examination of human impact on Earth’s natural systems. Featured at TEDGlobal, Sundance, and Lincoln Center, to name a few, this is Matreyek’s third project with FirstWorks.
Matreyek’s glorious animated visions traverse natural vistas and cityscapes as she shape-shifts with her own shadow. Infinitely Yours is an emotionally impactful illustration of the complex harm humanity causes to the Earth – and what it means for all of us to be living in this changing world.
Celebrate Earth Day by watching a special live-stream performance of Miwa Matreyek’s
Infinitely Yours, followed by a post-show Climate Conversation. This discussion will reflect on art and activism, and ways we can work together to effect meaningful change.
