Racial Justice Book Discussion: The Color of Law

Join us to discuss The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America by Richard Rothstein, the first selection in a new discussion series at the Weaver Library. Led by Rev. Timoth Sylvia, Senior Minister of Rumford’s Newman Congregational Church, this series will explore racial issues in the books The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness by Michelle Alexander; Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates; White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo; Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson; and How To Be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi

The group will meet on the fourth Thursday of the month from January through June. Copies of the books will be available on a first come, first served basis at the Weaver Library.
