Winter’s Eve 9th Annual Juried Art Exhibition

December 2, 2019 – January 3, 2020

OPENING RECEPTION – Thursday, December 5th  –  6pm – 8pm

Bonus: Saturday, December 14, 11am-1pm – JUROR’S COFFEE AND CONVERSATION – all are invited to view the exhibition with the juror and discuss the jurying process, artist selection, and art installation.

On December 5th, the exciting evening begins at 6 pm in the Library’s Howard Silverman Gallery. View the exhibit, chat with artists and friends, and enjoy delicious sweet/savory hors d’oeuvres provided by some of East Greenwich’s finest restaurants and wine from The Savory Grape. Live music by harpist Judith Mitchell will add to the festive mood.

An evening highlight will be the announcement of the Juror’s Award, a solo 2020 gallery exhibit (artist’s option), Juror’s 2nd and Honorable Mention awards, as well as Honorable Mention Awards from B&H Framing (Greenwich Gallery), Crestar Gallery, and Nancy Stephen Gallery.

At the Opening, enter the Savory Grape Wine Basket Free Raffle.

2019 JUROR – Lorena Pugh  (www.lorenapugh.com)

Working in oils as a contemporary realist, Lorena has received a number of national and international awards. She earned a BFA from Pratt Institute and attended classes at the Art Students League, the School of Visual Arts and Rhode Island School of Design. Lorena has recently finished a two-year project to produce a body of work relating to Narragansett Bay. The project culminated in a show at Dryden Gallery in Providence RI this October, with partial proceeds going to an environmental group for the bay. She is also represented by Renjeau Gallery in Boston MA, Coastal Contemporary Gallery in Newport RI and PS Gallery
