Presented by East Providence Public Library/Weaver at East Providence Public Library - Weaver Branch

Broadmeadow and Doherty take you inside the investigations, covert surveillances, and murky world of informants in the war against Organized Crime. Make no mistake about it, it was a war targeting the insidious nature of the mob and their detrimental effect on Rhode Island and throughout New England.

Retired Police Captain Joe Broadmeadow served for twenty years with the East Providence (RI) Police Department. He also worked in the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force and on special assignment to the FBI drug task force. Joe has published three fictional crime thrillers and two critically acclaimed non-fiction works on Organized Crime.

Brendan Doherty served for almost 30 years with the Rhode Island State Police, five years as the Superintendent. He spent much of his career as a detective in the Intelligence Unit targeting Organized Crime and built a reputation as a relentless but uncompromising investigator.
