Club favorite Sean Connell, guitarist and vocalist, returns to the pub for another evening of Irish ballads starting at 8:00 p.m.
Also, starting at 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs hall, a 1916 Committee lecture will feature three different speakers who will describe the contributions of women to Irish and American history: Mother Jones, advocate against child labor; Ellen Ryan Jolly whose 1927 book “Nuns in the Battlefield” is an account of the heroic service of Catholic sisters who served as nurses during the American civil war; and Bernadette McAliskey, a heroic figure in the Northern Ireland civil rights movement. All welcome. Free and open to the public.
