For the first time in a decade, the Rhode Island Historical Society hosts Home Movie Day, an annual global event celebrating the value of home movies to the communities that make them. We bring the equipment and you bring the movies! A home movie is defined as any type of nonprofessionally-made moving image–they might document special events or just everyday life. We will have equipment to screen the following formats: 8mm film, Super8 film, 16mm film,VHS, Video8/Hi8, miniDV, DVD, and flash drive. Bring your movies and memories to share, or just come to watch!
