Jayne Guertin Schlott, Art Exhibit & Opening Reception

Presented by Friends of East Greenwich Free Library at East Greenwich Free Library

Jayne Guertin Schlott was the 2018 Winter’s Eve at the Library Juried Art Exhibit Jurors’ Award Winner. The award, Jayne’s solo exhibition is coming to fruition November 2019, with an opening reception Thursday, November 7, 5-7pm, Howard Silverman Gallery, East Greenwich Free Library, 82 Peirce Street, East Greenwich, RI. The reception is free and open to the public. Guests will have an opportunity to see the art and meet with the artist. Jayne’s art is sometimes abstract and at other times representational. She works in a variety of media from photography to watercolor to collage. Often her background as a writer beautifully emerges within the frame. When creating her art, Jayne “is drawn to the abstract and ordinary in all things. She pursues an expression of the tangible, intangible, and things ‘not of this world.’ Everything is an experiment, and that is what keeps her looking.”

An image of Jayne Guertin’s award winning artwork, Songs of Desperation, is shown here.
