Unpolished Legacies

Unpolished Legacies

Presented by UPP Arts at 233 Westminister St.

Unpolished Legacies is a series of collective actions to document and showcase local artists, writers, environmental scientists, educators and historians responding to the Gorham Company and the rippling effects of its business practices and cultural influence. These actions will include a zine comprised of written and graphic contributions, a two-week pop-up exhibition, two facilitated conversations on environment and labor, class and culture, a website housing video and audio work and an outdoor performance. Together, these events seek to contextualize Gorham’s presence in the community and to ponder lessons to be learned from its history.
