One-day pop-up installation in Burnside Park focusing on mental health, community, family, and hope.
The Downtown Providence Parks Conservancy and LA-Based artist Thomas Martinez Pilnik are proud to present a one-day pop-up installation “A Song For David” in Burnside Park on Tuesday, August 20th.
Based on a poem by the same title by University of Michigan Graduate William Brewbaker, “A Song For David” is an interactive installation designed to deeply engage viewers through a story of loss, grief, hope, anger, mental health awareness, and community.
Throughout the day, Pilnik will be on site to answer questions, discuss the work, and hint at some of the discoveries that can be made within the installation. At 5:30PM, a broader artist talk is scheduled to unpack the piece fully.
