Providence ¡CityArts! for Youth, as managing partner of The Rhode Island Teaching Artists Center, and RISCA present –  Around the Table : building an educators’ tool-kit for unifying the classroom through art, a free two-day professional development workshop.

Around the Table is for public school teachers, teaching artists, artists-in-residency, museum educators, youth workers, and anyone who wants to add to their tool-kit for working with youth.

Around the Table models ¡CityArts!’ teaching approach through our ‘¡CityArts! Cycle’, a roadmap to community art-making and positive youth development. As a conference attendee, you’ll participate in engaging talks, workshops, and breakout sessions that follow the six phases of the ‘¡CityArts! Cycle’: connection;  creating a safe space;  discovery;  ideation;  creation;  and reflection and presentation.

Around the Table is free to attend! Professional development certificates are $55 in advance, and $75 after the conference begins. ¡CityArts! is a RIDE approved Educator Course Network provider. Complimentary breakfast and lunch provided.
