The Freedom of Air

Presented by Barn Summer Playhouse at Roger Williams University - Performing Arts Center

World premiere of The Freedom of Air, written and directed by Gary Shore. While living at the Vatican in 1517, Leonardo Da Vinci paints, experiments with flying machines, dissects corpses and battles with his assistant, Giorgio, who threatens to expose the controversial nature of Leonardo’s work to his patron the Pope. Though enraged by his duplicity, Leonardo reveals to Giorgio the prospect of a more engaged life.  This production features actors Paul Kandarian, Cam Torres and Rachel Tondreault.  Torres and Tondreault were featured in the critically acclaimed final production of 2nd Story Theatre’s Dancing Lessons in 2018.
