An engaging oratorio with chamber orchestra.
This glorious oratorio vividly portrays the story of Israel’s deliverance from bondage in Egypt, and is widely considered to contain Handel’s finest choral music. Presented in partnership with Temple Beth-El in Providence, it was last performed in Rhode Island 16 years ago. We will be joined for this performance by a chamber orchestra made up of musicians from the RI Philharmonic. The engaging text of the piece calls our attention to oppression and injustice that continues today, at home and abroad.
$20 for adults, $10 for students, and $50 for families (includes up to two adults plus any minors in their care).
