The State Ballet of Rhode Island Presents Walpurgis Night

Presented by The State Ballet of Rhode Island at The Park Theatre

This performance features three, unique one-act ballet’s including:

“Walpurgis Night” from Gounod’s opera Faust.
Faust was premiered by SBRI in Rhode Island in 1962. In this
repertoire favorite, a celebration takes place on the eve of spring with gods, goddesses and satyrs dancing an all-night ritual and creating an evening of frenzy.

The premiere of “A Tale of Twelve Dancing Princesses” — a story ballet about Twelve Princesses who sneak out of their castle to dance all night long. This comedic story will amuse children and adults while they admire the sparkling, colorful costuming!

The premiere of “The Colors of Love & Light”
This new ballet is inspired by the paintings of contemporary artist Paul M. Cote and is a fusion of dance, music and painting!
