Mayor Jorge O. Elorza, the City of Providence Department of Art, Culture + Tourism, East Commerce Solutions and Skyline at Waterplace are pleased to announce the second One Providence New Year’s Eve by Skyline celebration taking place on Monday, December 31st, 2018 at Waterplace Park. The event follows a successful 2017 celebration and will offer outdoor activities open to the public for free beginning at 9pm and a formal indoor celebration starting at 7pm (VIP) | 9pm (Rooftop) in Skyline at Waterplace Events Venue.

“We’re excited to once again invite families to come experience an unforgettable New Year’s Eve in the heart of Providence,” said Mayor Jorge O. Elorza. “With a ball drop, laser show and fireworks the Creative Capital will be bustling with fun activities for all ages to enjoy as we welcome 2019.”

To welcome 2019, Providence will host a free outdoor spectacular in Waterplace Park beginning at 9pm, which will feature a classic New Year’s Eve ball drop, a laser light show and a spectacular close-proximity fireworks display. In addition to outdoor programming, Finance Way will be closed to traffic to accommodate a host of Providence’s legendary food trucks. Popular holiday beverages and souvenirs will also be sold throughout the night in the Basin.
