Join Meredith Vieira ’71, one of the nation’s foremost journalists and TV personalities, for a screening of her film TOWER. TOWER examines the country’s first mass shooting, which took place August 1, 1966, when Charles Whitman, a former Marine, perched at the top of the Main Building tower at the University of Texas Austin and opened fire on the campus and surrounding streets.
