Martin Jones, one of Great Britain’s most highly regarded solo pianists, will perform at a concert sponsored by the Jamestown Community Piano Association.

Throughout his career, Jones has championed the music of 20th century British composers, performing concertos by Benjamin Britten, George Benjamin, William Mathias, John McCabe, and Constant Lambert.  At the November 5 concert, he will perform pieces by contemporary classical composers from around the world, including Americans Scott Brickman, Keith Kramer, Bruce Mahin, and Margaret McAllister; France’s Francis Kayali;.and Ssu-Yu Huang, a Taiwan native.  His program also includes works by J. S. Bach, arranged by Ferruccio Busoni, and Sergei Liapounov.
