In an effort to connect youth and their families with free afterschool programming, The Allstate Foundation is teaming up with ASTRO to organize the first annual Rhode Island Community Field Day.

15 Allstate agents from the Providence-area will help introduce local youth and their families to ASTRO’s free sports and arts programming, which are available year-round. The event will include a bouncy house, arts and crafts, flag football, kickball, raffles and more. Food trucks will be on-site, with the first 50 children under the age of 18 receiving a free lunch. Parents will also have the opportunity to speak with ASTRO staff about fall classes and mentorship opportunities.

The local Allstate agency owners and financial specialists who are participating will also present ASTRO with a $15,000 Helping Hands in the Community grant from The Allstate Foundation. Central Falls Mayor James Diossa will be on-hand during the check presentation.
