Casey is a Boston native currently living and working in Providence, RI. She recently obtained her MFA in Photography and Integrated Media from Lesley University where she focused her studies on the relationship between photography and memory. Her investigations questioned how older memories are affected by recent events, and how they can be accurately represented. Using 2D photos and videos, she constructed new 3D spaces in which the viewer can immerse themselves.

Casey first found her love of photography during her sophomore year of high school after being gifted an 8MP point and shoot camera. She pursued and explored the medium at her beloved Providence College, where she received a well rounded, liberal arts education. Throughout her time at PC, she focused on large format 4×5 film photography and darkroom work which led her to where she is today. She is passionate about keeping the craft alive and believes film photography holds special qualities that can not be achieved through shooting digitally.

As an avid traveler, Casey wants to connect people around the world through her photographs. She uses her camera as a way to get to know people and initiate conversations. They tell her their stories, dreams, thoughts on life, while she creates their portraits. Working with film and printing everything by hand ensures her photos are as unique as the people she photographs and her way of saying thank you to the people who helped make her a better person.
