K Lenore Siner is a self-taught, Providence based painter. Her paintings are the expression of a lifetime devoted to practicing mystical traditions including Western Shamanism and Tantric techniques. With the intention of creating art that acts as talisman she incorporates precious metals, magical plants, ashes and waters into each painting, blurring the line between fine art and magical tool.

Her current work is a series of self portraits and symbols that are an extended experiment with embodying certain energies and archetypes in order to understand them more completely. Through the process of painting and simultaneously carefully watching what is happening in life while creating the painting a new understanding of the energy invoked is brought to light which is once again reflected back into the work. Through this process Siner reveals the places where archetype and personal identity meet – the intersection of dreams, mythology and fairy tale with waking life.
