Holly Gaboriault, an illustrator and designer working in Providence, Rhode Island who weaves words and images in her books, designs, paintings and sculptures. In addition to exhibiting her work, interest for bringing together artists in the community and has led her to curate exhibitions and create films archiving the work of artists in the community. A graduate from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration, she has independently designed for numerous clients, created public art installations, curated exhibitions, and served on the Board of Directors for several non-profit art organizations, including The Art League of RI and the Pawtucket Arts Collaborative. Her work has been exhibited throughout New England and New York, published in books and created into prints and textiles. Holly is the creator and producer of the RI ART ARCHIVE PROJECT, a documentary film series exploring and archiving the work and views of RI artists, curators and collectors. "My work is about telling stories. Archeology has been my first passion and I find inspiration in the folklore from different cultures, ceremonies, rituals, costumes exploring the influences of global textiles and fashion. My recent work blends history, storytelling and design inspired by the costumes and traditions of world culture and contemporary fashion. Pushing my own boundaries and expectations, I realize there are no accidents- only endless possibilities."
