The George & Anne Ryan Institute for Neuroscience brings together some 40 researchers, clinicians, and private partners at URI and beyond who share a common interest in finding new treatments and cures for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, ALS, and Parkinson’s disease. Institute researchers concentrate on underexplored approaches to these diseases such as the role of blood vessels, the immune system, and inflammation in the origin and course of brain disease.
