We offer a laboratory and classroom where new ideas, new forms and new artists flourish aesthetically and practically, and are continually tested through performance and forums. We strive to create a cohesive urban community through theater education and performance that transforms the lives of children, families, and theater artists. We believe the world needs artists, and artists should be fairly compensated for their essential work.
Our Company, Stage and School are based in a former carriage house at 9 Duncan Ave. in Providence, Rhode Island. The Carriage House is an open, generative space for people of every financial status, a place where a one-room schoolhouse becomes a university, and a neighborhood becomes the world.
