Students in grades 7-12 are invited to join us for a three-week creative writing class in partnership with Write Rhode Island.
The Collaborative is excited to partner with Write Rhode Island for a three-week creative writing class for students in grades 7-12! Instructor Eve Kerrigan will teach the fundamentals of fiction including character, plot, setting, and theme. Classes will be held October 18, 25, November 1 from 3:30pm to 5pm and will prepare students to submit to this contest!

Write Rhode Island
October kicks-off the annual Write Rhode Island short fiction competition for Rhode Island students in grades 7-12. The competition is open to all public, private, parochial or home-school students throughout the Ocean State. Winners will receive cash prizes, awards, and an opportunity to be published. Eligible entries should be a short work of fiction incorporating Rhode Island as a theme, and can be submitted November 20 – December 11, 2023.
