Artistic director Herci Marsden and The State Ballet of Rhode Island present an exciting trilogy of ballets that will take you into three different worlds.
This performance features three, unique one-act ballet’s including:
“Walpurgis Night” from Gounod’s opera Faust.
Faust was premiered by SBRI in Rhode Island in 1962. In this
repertoire favorite, a celebration takes place on the eve of spring with gods, goddesses and satyrs dancing an all-night ritual and creating an evening of frenzy.
