“Rhythms & Sounds,” performed by Salve Regina University’s Extensions Dance Company will take place on February 8, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, February 9, at 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, February 10, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the historical Casino Theatre.
“Rhythms & Sounds” will take audiences on a journey of propulsive rhythms and soulful sounds. Dancers will swing in the syncopated vernacular of Black American dance, get down in works inspired by West African, Afro-Cuban and Ethiopian movement, and share stories through contemporary fusions.
